Phoenix, AZ — April 3, 2026 — Matthew Long, attorney at Long & Simmons Law, has issued a formal statement on behalf of his client, Haley Beck, following renewed public attention surrounding an ongoing investigation by the Peoria Police Department.
“Ms. Beck respects the criminal justice process and looks forward to the conclusion of the investigation, which will reveal she committed no crimes,” said Long.
The case remains under review by the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office after an extended procedural process. In 2025, the Peoria Police Department conducted an investigation and submitted its findings to the County Attorney’s Office, recommending a single charge of pandering under Arizona law.
Prosecutors did not file charges at that time. Instead, the case was returned to the Peoria Police Department for additional investigation.
On April 2, 2026, reports indicated that Peoria Police re-submitted the investigation to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office for further review. As of this publication, no formal charges have been filed.
Long emphasized that the case remains unresolved and cautioned against premature conclusions.
“Like any individual subject to investigation, Ms. Beck is entitled to due process. We are confident that a complete review of the facts will confirm her innocence,” he added.
Legal observers note that a request for additional investigation by prosecutors is not uncommon and does not indicate a charging decision. A charging decision is ultimately determined by the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.
